Belt conveyor as a common transportation equipment, because of its complex structure, so in the actual application, it is necessary to strengthen its use, repair and maintenance points of mastery, in order to better promote its performance. In daily life, for conveying equipment, there are a few points need to be done, namely, cleaning, fastening, adjustment, lubrication and anti-corrosion work. In the normal production process, equipment maintenance personnel should: according to the maintenance manual and maintenance process of the conveyor equipment, strictly in the specified time for maintenance work, reduce the wear rate of components, lift the hidden danger of equipment failure, prolong the service life of the equipment conveyor equipment.
The maintenance work of the belt conveyor equipment is as follows: daily maintenance, regular maintenance and special maintenance. Regular maintenance can be divided into three stages, special maintenance can be divided into seasonal maintenance and out-of-service maintenance of two kinds. The following mainly introduces the specific steps and precautions of these maintenance works:

Routine maintenance includes cleaning, lubrication, inspection and fastening. During and after the operation of the conveyor equipment, routine maintenance and inspection should be carried out as required.

Maintenance is carried out on the basis of routine maintenance. The work is to lubricate, tighten, inspect and clean the relevant parts of the conveyor equipment.

Second, maintenance, inspection and adjustment. Specifically check the power system, motor, governor, transmission parts and control switches on the conveying equipment.

Maintenance, inspection, adjustment, troubleshooting and the balance of the degree of wear and tear of each part. Diagnose and inspect components that affect equipment performance and those that show signs of failure to accomplish necessary replacements, adjustments and troubleshooting.

SEASONAL MAINTENANCE: Under the direction of the Engineer, inspections and repairs of transmission system and control system components shall be completed prior to winter.

Belt conveyor equipment out-of-service maintenance means that when the conveyor equipment needs to be shut down for a period of time due to seasonal factors (e.g., winter rest period), it shall be cleaned, groomed, matched, protected from moisture and corrosion.
